Whether you’re playing Survival or Creative, a Minecraft bridge can be useful for crossing rivers, ravines, canyons, lava lakes or hostile landscapes quickly. They also add character to structures like castle towers, fairy builds, gardens and heavily forested areas.
If you’re looking for cottagecore bridges, simple bridges, grand bridge structures or even a working glass Squid Game bridge, we’ve got it all here!
1 – Minecraft Fairy Builds – Simple Cottagecore Bridge
Take a look at YouTuber QueenCynthia’s creation that uses campfires and wood in a very clever way to make a bridge that screams “cottagecore”.
Apart from campfires, you’ll need fences, trapdoors, slabs and grass blocks to craft the basic structure. The beauty is in the details, of course.
For that, you’ll want to gather flowering azalea blocks and leaf blocks (these can be harvested without breaking with the help of Silk Touch-enchanted tools or shears), as well as lanterns and wildflowers.
It’s perfect for any Minecraft fantasy-themed builds you’re making, or even if you just want to bring some charm into your little settlement.
2 – Mushroom Fairy Bridge
If you want the fae people to come to you, this cute Minecraft bridge idea by YouTube user Fevin would be perfect.
The adorable little structure has been built over a pond rather than a river or any other water body. But you can choose where to place it, obviously. It is totally scalable to a larger size.
But in our opinion, the more compact you keep it, the more faithful it will remain to the creator’s aesthetic. You will need to visit Minecraft’s mushroom island biomes for the star material – red mushroom blocks.
The rest of the supplies cover spruce logs for blocks, slabs and fences, and lanterns. If you’re creating a pond with the idea of constructing this bridge over it, don’t forget to gather some lily pads. You can place some fish in this pond too!
3 – Compact Fairy Bridge
If you want to continue the fairycore way, here’s another one for you by YouTuber Faemira. It’s a compact little number with oodles of magical charm!
The complete list of supplies you will need to have in your inventory includes iron chains, lanterns, oak (for stairs, signboards and planks), spruce logs (for trapdoors and fences), grass blocks, leaf blocks, flowering azalea blocks, wildflowers of your choice, vines, campfires and spore blossoms.
You can find spore blossoms in lush caves and as you know, lush caves hide under azalea trees. Azalea and leaf blocks can be harvested as is with shears or a Silk Touch implement.
4 – Cottagecore Fairy Bridge
In case you’re a fan of the cottagecore and fae aesthetic combined, this mesmerizing stone bridge is everything!
The cottagecore fairy bridge by Cherie Luna is not meant for players with little patience though. It’s got an intricate building process that you can view in the tutorial video below.
But the results are definitely worth it. Sometimes it’s nice to just look at amazing Minecraft bridges like this one, isn’t it?
This bridge does use shaders and resource packs to get those beautiful colors and textures. The entire list of add-ons is mentioned in the video description.
5 – Simple Cherry Blossom Bridge
Ever since the cherry biome was added to the Minecraft Trails & Tails update, we’ve been itching to build something special with cherry logs.
If you’re thinking “same”, here’s a small project you can try out – a cherry blossom bridge by YouTube Polar Cat.
It requires cherry leaf blocks, diorite, cherry logs and lanterns. These are simple to acquire. You will also need Jerm’s Better Leaves Minecraft texture pack it you want to replicate the exact look in the above tutorial.
6 – Aesthetic Cottagecore Bridge
It’s difficult to believe how anyone can make anything so stunning with basic Minecraft building blocks, but here is one such example.
This aesthetic cottagecore bridge by Nitsurami on YouTube, is mainly constructed out of wood, iron and coal (for campfires). Add to this a touch of greenery with leaf blocks. And there you have it!
The beauty of this wooden bridge is captured in the thoughtful arrangement of all the blocks and chains. You will need to resort to texture packs to duplicate the exact look. And if you’re up for it, why not?
7 – Cute Cherry Blossom Bridge
Here’s another cute option for fans of the new cherry blossom trees in Minecraft. YouTuber Cip, has shared a video tutorial for a gorgeous roofed bridge made primarily out of cherry logs.
Apart from the pink-hued wood, you will also need quartz, lanterns and iron chains. In case you haven’t ventured far enough in the game to reach the Nether, you can use white concrete blocks as a substitute for quartz.
Not only would this bridge look perfectly at home in a fairy build, it would also suit a Lord of the Rings- or Barbie-themed setting.
8 – Flower Bridge
This flower bridge will be sure to brighten up your Minecraft game with its old-world charm. It’s an ideal fit for the flower and forest biomes in the game.
The structure is fairly simple to build and you can easily adapt the design to your requirement.
Watch the tutorial video by Minecraft PA to know how you can construct this great looking structure. It is basically a bridge lined with flower pots on both sides. Simple to make and easy to customize according to your taste.
9 – Sky Bridge
We absolutely love this Sky bridge by Daxinomega AKA Johnny. It looks like a fully enclosed metro in the sky and unlike most other Minecraft bridge designs.
The entire thing is made out of stone and glass. Along one side of it runs a redstone-powered railroad track for minecarts. You could decorate the walls with items frames, or you could customize it with subway-type stops in between. The possibilities are endless!
Not only is this an easy bridge to build, the items you require for it are not rare at all.
10 – Squid Game Bridge
The dystopian Netflix TV series Squid Game captured the imagination of millions of viewers across the world. Minecraft fans were not immune to it.
Many players have attempted to recreate the Glass Bridge game to great success. One such creation by YouTube user Shibbaz, is a cool working model that drops players to their deaths if they walk onto the wrong panel.
It’s not a glass bridge, but pretty much recreates the effect well. Users have to get across by stepping on trapdoors that may or may not trigger a TNT explosion that kills their player character.
If you’re raring to get it prepped for multiplayer Minecraft sessions with your friends, be sure to check out the fun tutorial video above.
11 – Medieval Stone Bridge
This one is for all the ambitious players who like to think big, and have lots of time on their hands.
The medieval-themed stone bridge by Master Majesty on YouTube, is built out of a mix of stone blocks. The materials are so easy to come by, so you can’t complain about supply shortages for sure.
What’s more, the design itself isn’t as complicated as some of the grandiose bridges you’ll find lower down in our list. But it looks great, thanks to the creator’s meticulous arrangement of slabs, blocks, bricks and stairs.
12 – Tiny Suspension Bridge
Not in the mood for a big project? How about a tiny little suspension bridge inspired by minimalist Japanese architecture?
This design by UmiboMC will allow you to put to work all that (almost) useless copper ore lying around in your inventory. The wooden walkway is connected by lightning rods. You can use metal chains, if you prefer. But we think the copper color blends nicely into the structure.
All you need are a few wooden blocks (for fences, gates and planks), stone, lanterns and lightning rods.
13 – Simple Wooden Bridge
If you’re looking for beginner level Minecraft bridge ideas, this simple wooden structure is the way to go.
Check out this wonderful build by YouTuber thewalkingwhale. It’s one of those cool builds, the dimensions of which can be changed based on your needs once you learn how to create them.
This wooden bridge has great visual appeal, which will help you make your world more beautiful.
14 – Wooden Arch Bridge
The wooden arch bridge pictured above sports a roof shaped in an arch-type structure. Hence the name.
It’s starkly beautiful in an elvish way. Thought up by YouTuber MC ABREK, it can be built using light-colored wood types like birch and you can also employ plenty of fencing and railings to add detail.
Once this wooden structure is built, you can experiment with various different types of lighting sources.
It can be built over rivers as well as other large bodies of water. You could place it in a Lothlorien-type setting if you make it out of birch wood.
15 – Roofed River Bridge
Building intricate structures in Minecraft is as rewarding as defeating the Ender dragon for some players.
Take this covered river bridge for instance, which has been brought into being by Master Majesty.
It uses wood logs, wooden blocks, and wood planks. It will take some patience to build, but is undemanding in terms of the materials needed. So you can easily build it in Survival mode too.
This roofed river bridge is an excellent beginner’s bridge design to try out for those who don’t want too simple a build.
16 – Arched Stone Bridge
YouTuber Spudetti has built this spectacular large stone bridge mainly out of stone.
This will make it look right at home in any kind of world you are building in the game. The best part of this stone structure is its stone pillars with hanging lights on them.
It may look complex at first sight, but this bridge is pretty easy to construct. So go ahead and try it for yourself.
17 – Tower Bridge
The famous Tower Bridge built over the River Thames in London is a world-renowned attraction.
And it’s hence no surprise that a YouTuber named N11cK was inspired enough to build a replica of it in Minecraft.
The massive structure features the two iconic tower structures that will take up a large chunk of your time if you try craft it for yourself.
So make sure to keep lots of time and patience aside when you decide to build this structure.
18 – Chinese Roofed Bridge
The Minecraft community is always brimming with great bridge ideas inspired by Eastern architecture and this Chinese roofed bridge is one of them.
It has been created by YouTuber Novice using wood, stone brick blocks, and a variety of other harder-to-acquire blocks like prismarine.
Adorned with classic Chinese aesthetics, this roofed bridge demands an eye for details. In case you decide to build it in Survival mode, remember that you can always swap the prismarine for dyed blocks made out of other materials.
19 – Modern Industrial Bridge
This Minecraft bridge design would look incredible if the world you’re building includes modern elements like paved roads and highways.
But do you have the patience for it? The unique aspect of this modern industrial bridge design by Alpine1 is that it has been built with architectural engineering in mind and can thus also act as a basic lesson on how current structures are crafted.
Watch the detailed video by the creator and you’ll know exactly what we’re talking about.
20 – Brooklyn Bridge
The Brooklyn Bridge is one of the most iconic bridges in the world and Black Beanie Gaming has a tutorial on how you can recreate it in Minecraft.
Do keep in mind that this tutorial video itself is 51 minutes long.
So be prepared to spend a lot of your time on it if you wish to build this large structure in Minecraft. We’re just going to sit back and spectate.
21 – Railway Bridge
If you want a massive bridge connecting distant biomes, you’d better make it a railway bridge so you won’t have to walk long distances (yes, we know flying is an option).
To create it, you’ll need the usual supplies like wooden stairs and blocks, stone stairs and blocks, smooth stone blocks and slabs, and a bunch of other stone-based blocks.
You also need to gather together lanterns, chains, blackstone buttons and stone brick walls. This build by Spudetti can be scaled as long as you want and is fairly easy to make as all you need to do is replicate the same structures again and again till you reach the other end.
22 – Simple Rope Bridge
The video down below by andyisyoda will teach you how to use wooden slabs, grindstones and trapdoors to build a minimalistic rope bridge in Minecraft.
The design doesn’t include any railings. So do be careful while crossing this structure if you build it in Survival mode.
I wouldn’t run across it unless I’m wearing my Elytra and holding firework rockets in one hand!
The process of building this rope bridge is a fairly easy one. Just make sure to gather all the required materials before you start on it.
23 – Small Bridge
If you want to build a bridge just for decorative purposes, this bridge design is your best bet.
The tiny structure by TheMythicalSausage doesn’t serve much practical purpose, but does exude simple charm.
It’s made from a combination of wood and stone and its small nature means you can easily build it in Survival mode as well. The lanterns and sugarcane add a nice touch to the over aesthetic, we must say.
24 – Diagonal Wooden Bridge
BrokenPixelSK has created this excellent diagonal wooden Minecraft bridge that uses some unique blocks to create an awesome detailed design.
The wooden bridge is complemented by a large roof, apart from potted flowers, cobblestone pillars, and planks for additional artistic touches.
You will need a wood, stone, coal, barrels, smokers, flower pots and saplings for it.
25 – Japanese Bridge
A cute little Japanese architecture-inspired bridge is just what you need if you’re tired of all the basic bridge designs.
Created by BlueNerd, it’s made mostly from stripped acacia wood, acacia slabs and stairs, dark prismarine, and oak fences.
Prismarine will be hard for you to acquire if you’re playing in survival mode. You might want to substitute it with dyed wool or concrete blocks instead.
The video tutorial above will provide you with a step-by-step guide on how you can create your very own Minecraft Japanese bridge to impress your friends.
26 – Tribal Jungle Bridge
There is great potential in the game’s Jungle biome to build some really nice structures, and this bridge by Spudetti is one of them.
Just take a look at how beautiful this ancient-looking construction appears before you notice the creepy details.
The vines dangling from both sides and jungle wood blocks acting as the main materials. Zombie heads, spider webs and skeleton heads add a touch of macabre to this suspended walkway.
27 – Big Bridge
There’s something really soothing about watching videos by Minecraft Therapy on YouTube.
Whether it’s a Minecraft barn or a Minecraft castle build, the channel can have you hooked for hours on the trot. This big bridge construction video is a magnificent build that experts should definitely try out.
Its base is constructed out of stone. But it’s topped with plenty of wood that makes for its unique appearance.
